Church and School Relations

VISION

Our committee seeks to integrate the Church and School communities. In essense, we aim to bring together the two hands of St. Stephen’s. Our committee serves as a bridge towards this vital integration.

Chair, Sady Reyes Wagner kindness@bellsouth.net

GOAL

By the year 2010, at least 50% of Day School Families and 50% of parish members will be involved in at least one mutual activity.

 Supporting Community Outreach

New charity benefits - We have included the Lotus House among the charities supported by the parish. The Lotus House is a unique residential facility serving women and infants who are homeless or at risk of being homeless. Lotus House is not a typical short-term shelter, but a supportive environment where women are nurtured and empowered to improve the quality of their lives, achieve greater self sufficiency, and transition to permanent homes off the streets.

St. Stephen’s Episcopal Day School: 1958 - 2008

St. Stephen’s Church and School are thrilled to celebrate 50 years of excellence through our day school ministry.
On September 2, 1958, St. Stephen’s opened its doors for the first time as a neighborhood parish day school.
